I thought that I would share some of my recipes with you! Not doing Eastern cookery just yet so sorry if the title misled you lol
Today we will learn how to make a bacon carbonara!
Bacon Carbonara
Ingredients:
~300g Pasta
~300g diced / chopped smoked back / middle bacon
1 small onion
2-3 Garlic Cloves
2 Eggs
4 tablespoons of grated parmesan cheese
4 tablespoons of double cream
Mixed herbs, salt, ground black pepper
Small amount of olive oil
50g butter
Method
Place the pasta in enough boiling water to cover the pasta and simmer for 10m or as according to any special instructions on the packet.
Fry the diced / chopped garlic, onion and bacon with a small amount of olive oil.
Whisk the eggs, cream, and seasonings together in a seperate container.
Hopefully, the pasta and the bacon/onion should be done at around the same time. Drain the pasta and saucepan. Return the pasta pan to a low heat, while keeping the pasta in a collander, add the butter to the pan until melted.
Add the pasta back into the pan along with the onion/bacon and stir well.
Now add the whisked egg/cheese/herb mixture to the pan and turn off the heat.
Stir and turn the pasta thorougly until the egg has stiffened.
Serve.
